How the cottage is heated
The cottage is heated using renewable energy in the form of wood pellets. The boiler uses the pellets for its fuel and is used to heat the water in the buffer tank which is a 2000 litre thermal store. The thermal store is then used to supply heat to the heat exchanger for the radiators in the cottage, and also to heat the 400 litre hot water cylinder that is circulated around the cottage.
